Lose the Back Pain

Back pain is one of the most common complaints of those suffering from chronic pain.  Neck pain, mid back pain, lower back pain, and sciatica are all common manifestions of this persistant, difficult to treat problem.  Back pain can come from a multitude of sources including nerve issues, muscular issues and skeletal problems.  When a patient is trying to lose the back pain, taking a broad look at the problem can often help more than focusing on the specific area of pain.

With the holistic approach, doctor and patient work together to restore the entire person, not just the back, to health.  Pain in the back can have many origins, some of which may not even be obviously connected to the back.  By treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, often unexpected sources of pain are uncovered and addressed.  Taking a broad spectrum approach to health and healing  gives a patient a better platform from which to tackle specific concerns, working the knot out from its deepest point of origin.

Have you ever noticed how impossible many back problems seem to be to treat?  Often, long time sufferers are even coaxed to resort to destructive surgeries that leave them in more pain than they were originally.  Through the use of therapies that address the whole person, including natural health products, one can comb out those persistent pains and knots at their source, allowing the frustrated patient can really lose the back pain for good.

Back pain is something I work with on a daily basis.  It has many different aspects such as alignment, stability, neurology, and even systemic effect.  Knowing that many organs will relate pain to the lower back is an important peice of this puzzle. You should always consult with your chiropractic doctor about back pain. Furthermore, you need to understand that certain muscles control the lower spine, therefore, you will find part of the problem and understand the root and cause of back pain.  Stretching the hamstrings and the hip flexor by doing the "cobra and downward dog" yoga stretches are ideal for helping the spine open back up.  Forward flexion typically aggravates this condition.
Posture and strength are the keys to longevity and avoidance of back pain.  We have many devices and braces that relate to back pain. Cryoderm, Traumeel and Biofreeze are also helpful products that apply topically and will help manage back pain. There are also Many minerals that are essential for balancing the muscules and enhance bone stabilization.  You can find these supplements and ointments under the above category link.
