Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are the vascular structures present in the anal canal of the human body and serve in helping with the stool control. These are termed as piles when these become inflamed or swollen. Piles can be broadly classified into two types. These are the internal and the external hemorrhoids. When excess pressure is applied on the pelvic and the rectal area, it leads to hemorrhoids. When the pressure in the anal canal increases, it swells up there by it fails to control the bowel movements efficiently.

Some of the most common symptoms of piles include bleeding during the bowel movements, severe itching and pain in the rectal region. Piles may be seen in obese people, in pregnant women during the last 5 months of their gestation period and in diarrhea or constipation patients. The patients generally have this habit of ignoring the problem as they feel embarrassed to share this with their doctor. This should be avoided and piles should be diagnosed as soon as one feels suspicious about the symptoms.

Words from our in House Expert:

dr.-dave-bordered.jpgDr. Dave States: Decreasing the pressure in the lower abdomin is the first and primary thing to fix with the system.  Feeding the vessels L-arginine is one great way to get better flexibility out of your vascular system.  There are many different natural ways in the form of ointments and internal combination that can be found on our site that specifically address this condition.
